My workout plan is pretty simple, I have NO SET plan. I knew I would get bored doing the same routine over and over without results. Instead I go in with a basic idea of what I want to do and then I just do what feels right. I change up my cardio/weight training habits based on my current goals so this keeps things light and fun.
A lot of people think that in order to get results you need to work out every single day but that definitely isn’t the case. I personally only work out 3-4 days per week and it works for me. I used to train a lot more but I found that I would just get burned out and end up not wanting to go.
I’ll be honest with you guys, at first I didn’t even enjoy working out! After I got past the first few weeks and found out what worked for me I was able to make it a habit. If you don’t know where or how to start there are all sorts of resources you can use to help. I started with using an app called 7 Minute Women and I still use it when I’m working out at home sometimes. (This is not sponsored I just like it and it’s FREE). Those workouts require no equipment and they’re QUICK. I had no excuses for not doing a workout that took less than 10 minutes a day. They're circuit workouts so you can repeat it a couple times for a more intense workout.
In the last couple months I started incorporating weights into every workout so I’m at the gym more often. The only workout I’ll do at home is an ab workout. With bikini season around the corner I’ve changed up my routine a little bit by adding 15 minutes of cardio three times a week. I use this time to put on my headphones and watch videos or listen to music. Try to use the time to do something that you enjoy so that you actually look forward to having some “me” time. Turning a workout into some self care time helped me make it a lifestyle change and it could help you too. It's cliche, but if I can do it so can you!
