Every season I do a little redecorating just to change things up. This is surprisingly really easy and affordable to do...you just have to get creative! I always use the same plates for my table settings and just change out the decorative items. For spring I decided to go with blue for the dining room and living room because I could use some calm and soothing colors in my home lol.
Homegoods is usually my favorite place for placemats and napkins. (I'm a little Homegoods obsessed.) They always have different linens for each season- the placemats and napkins are usually under $20 for both. These ones came in a set for six so I ended up with some extra placemats and napkins. I like having the table setting because it just makes the place look more put together. Definitely something to do if you're trying to stage your home for selling. It's still functional and we eat dinner at the table with everything still on it.
You can see the pictures below for what the table looked like before I decorated it. When I did this I even timed myself and the whole thing took less than five minutes to do and that included putting the napkins together.
The plates and chargers are from Hobby Lobby and I use them year round.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... I know it's early but I like to get the most out of the season. I absolutely love the lame Hallmark movies and have already started watching them. There's so many Christmas movies and not enough time. I like to keep my Christmas decor in the same theme as my home so its definitely girly! It's so me though and I love it. I bought a lot of my Christmas decorations over the last couple years so I didn't have too much to add this year. I did decide to keep the tree neutral and didn't add a lot of ornaments. This made decorating quick and easy plus there won't be too much to take down. I bought the tree last year but I linked it along with some of the decorations. The tree is only $79 which is the most affordable one I found for the quality. The garland, silver ornaments and garland are from Michaels. I got the glitter cone pink trees at Michael's a couple years ago but they always have different colors each year. A few of my favorite places to shop for decorations are Target, Michael's, Homegoods and Hobby Lobby. They always have a good selection and different things for every one's decorating style. I'll be sharing my dining room on here soon!
