I have been so busy lately with the holidays and traveling to visit friends so I’ve been using this makeup case. It flattens out for you to put all of your makeup on it then you can just pull the drawstring to collect it all! It’s a lot easier to carry all of my makeup back and forth on the go. There are still holders for your brushes and a zippered pocket to hold little items. It’s also a great way to keep your bathroom counter organized if you don’t like leaving you makeup out. If you have a Costco membership then get it here but if not, you can buy it here for around $30 (Costco is way cheaper!)
Better than Sex Mascara- It took me awhile to get used to it and apply it correctly but now I’m addicted. I didn’t realize how much of a difference it actually was making until I used my old mascara for a day. Completely different and my lashes felt bare. This makes my lashes a lot fuller, darker and longer. I went through it a lot faster than other mascara, probably from using so much of it to apply it but I loved it enough to buy another tube. My grandma even grabbed one to try for herself. She’s not a fan of the name but she got past that lol. $23 is double the price of a lot of drugstore ones but it’s worth it since it works SO much better. This is a favorite of a lot of other bloggers too! I should add that I do NOT apply this on my bottom lashes because on me it flaked off and didn’t last. I just use the mascara I was using before (Maybelline Lash Sensational) on the bottom and Better than Sex on the top. You can buy it here.
Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Makeup for Combination/ Oily Skin- This is my HG foundation so I’m including it even though I’ve mentioned it before. I was using more expensive foundations but this one is way better and cheaper! It has really good coverage and it lasts on my oily skin. You can get it for around $10 at any drugstore or at Ulta. I wear the shade True Beige when I have a tan and shade Natural Tan the rest of the time. I seriously love this stuff! I use a beauty sponge to apply it which I think makes a huge difference too. You can buy this here.
Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade - I love this stuff for shaping natural looking brows. Lately I have been using a pencil with it but this stuff is great for filling in. I have had the same pot since June maybe and have a quarter left so a little goes far. I use the brush that’s meant to go with it because it is the perfect size for filling in brows plus it has a comb on the end. I really think if you have a lot to fill in, this looks more natural than just a pencil. I use the color Soft Brown. The dip brow is $18 and the brush is $18 also. You can find the brush and pomade here.
Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer- I use this to contour, especially when I’m going out at night. The colors seem to work on everyone also (I use this on my friends when we go out! They’re a little lighter than me and it works on them.) The bronzer is brown, not red and it’s not really glittery or anything. Great color payoff and a steal! This color duo is St. Lucia and it’s only $3. Find it here.
Bellami Extensions- Okay so the most expensive but absolute favorite beauty investment of the year was my Bellami Hair Extensions. I never wore extensions before and didn’t know how much of a difference they actually make. I have been IN LOVE with these as soon as they arrived in the mail. They somehow match my hair perfectly even though they aren’t the same color when I take them off. If you want them I strongly suggest you send them a picture for them to match for you. That’s what I did and it saved me from ordering the wrong ones because I thought there was no way that color would have matched my hair. If you’re blonde, I highly recommend this brand because they have a lot more color choices so you don’t have to damage them by coloring them yourself. I definitely did my research before getting them. I only wear them on weekends and in blog pictures so I haven’t had any problems with damaging my hair because you don’t have to tease your hair for these to stay in. I just clip them in and they are in until I take them out! I got them over the summer and I’m still obsessed with them. I love how they look and feel natural and no one can even tell they’re extensions. My hair is already long but the extensions make it a lot fuller and thicker because my hair is kind of thin. I’ll do another post about extensions and hair but I’m including them in this list because it was by far my favorite beauty buy of 2015! I wear the Bambina 20 inch extensions in Dirty Blonde (it looks so dark in their swatch!) You can find them here.
